Support when needed most.

Growing up is a time of excitement, discovery, and change—but it can also feel overwhelming. Childhood and adolescence bring huge emotional, social, and physical transitions, and for many young people, these experiences can lead to stress, worry, or a loss of confidence. From friendship struggles and school pressures to body image concerns, phobias, or coping with loss, these challenges can feel confusing and isolating—especially when a child feels misunderstood or unsure how to express what they’re going through.

With 15 years of experience working in education, I deeply understand the unique pressures children and teenagers face, both at school and at home. I work with children aged 7 and above, offering a safe, compassionate space where they can feel seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to help them develop the emotional skills and resilience they need—not only to overcome current challenges, but to carry forward throughout their lives.

Why CBH Can Make a Difference for Young People

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) is a gentle, evidence-based approach that combines calming hypnotherapy with practical cognitive strategies. It empowers young people to understand their thoughts and emotions, while giving them practical tools to manage challenges more effectively. When children and young adults learn these skills early, they begin to build a lifelong mental health toolkit, strengthening their resilience and ability to navigate life’s ups and downs as they grow into adulthood.

CBH can be especially helpful for:

  • Friendship and peer relationship challenges – improving confidence and communication

  • Body image and self-esteem concerns – fostering self-acceptance and self-worth

  • Exam stress and academic pressure – enhancing calm, focus, and performance

  • Phobias and fears – such as fear of the dark, animals, or medical procedures

  • Bereavement and grief – supporting emotional processing and healing

  • Life changes and transitions – like moving schools, parental separation, or blended families

  • Managing big emotions – like anxiety, anger, frustration, or sadness

The Importance of Early Support

Just as we teach children to care for their physical health, nurturing their mental and emotional wellbeing early on is vital. By introducing CBH during these formative years, young people can:

  • Build resilience to handle life’s challenges with strength and adaptability

  • Develop healthy coping strategies instead of unhelpful patterns that may persist into adulthood

  • Improve emotional intelligence and self-understanding

  • Create a strong foundation for lifelong mental health and wellbeing

These skills help children not only overcome current difficulties but also grow into adults who feel empowered, grounded, and confident in themselves.

Working Together to Support Your Child or Young Adult

Every young person is unique, and so is their experience. My role is to create a safe, non-judgemental environment where they can explore their thoughts and feelings, while working closely with parents or carers to ensure support continues beyond our sessions.

Whatever challenges your child or teenager may be facing—whether it’s anxiety, school pressures, or navigating big life changes—CBH offers a compassionate and empowering path forward.

Change is a natural part of growing up, but your child doesn’t have to face it alone. Together, we can help them restore balance, build resilience, and grow into a confident, emotionally healthy adult.
