Your body. Your strength.

When working with body confidence and self-esteem, I take a gentle, down-to-earth approach that focuses on helping you understand and shift the beliefs that may be keeping you stuck in patterns of self-criticism, comparison, or disconnection from your body. Through Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, we explore the thoughts, behaviours, and inner dialogue that shape how you feel about yourself—not just how you look, but how you experience your body as part of your identity and daily life.

Our relationship with our body is often complex and deeply personal—shaped by early messages, trauma, cultural pressures, or life experiences that change how we see and feel about ourselves. This might include post-pregnancy changes, the emotional toll of fertility treatment or IVF, or even grief toward your body after birth or significant illness. In times like these, it’s common to feel:

  • Disconnected

  • Betrayed by your body

  • Unsure how to rebuild trust with it

This work is never one-size-fits-all and always meets you where you are. CBH helps by combining practical cognitive and behavioural tools with the focused, change-enabling state of hypnosis. This approach supports:

  • Challenging unhelpful beliefs around appearance, control, and self-worth

  • Building body neutrality—shifting the focus from how your body looks to how it functions and feels

  • Developing self-compassion, even when your body doesn’t feel like “you”

  • Releasing guilt, resentment, or shame—especially after illness, pregnancy, or trauma

  • Creating more balanced, respectful behaviours around food, movement, and self-care

  • Reconnecting with your body in ways that feel safe, steady, and empowering

This work goes far beyond simply feeling good in swimwear! It’s about how you feel when you get dressed in the morning, walk into a room, experience a health challenge, or face a mirror. It’s about reclaiming ease, agency, and trust in your body—on your own terms.

Areas I can support include:

  • Navigating weight gain or loss, with or without medical causes

  • Adjusting to your body after pregnancy, birth, or fertility treatment

  • Processing anger, grief, or disconnection following birth or hormonal changes

  • Coping with changes related to ageing or shifting identity

  • Rebuilding body trust after surgery, trauma, or chronic illness

  • Managing disconnection during or after a medical diagnosis

  • Releasing perfectionism or control-based behaviours rooted in anxiety

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy offers a powerful, compassionate space to gently shift old patterns and support meaningful, lasting change—so you can relate to your body with more kindness, confidence, and clarity.
