What is Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy?

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) is a powerful, evidence-based therapeutic approach that combines the best aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and hypnosis to help you create lasting positive change. This scientifically backed method addresses both the conscious and unconscious processes that influence your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. By targeting both the thinking patterns we are aware of and those operating beneath the surface, CBH offers a holistic and effective way to promote emotional well-being, reduce stress, and break through mental barriers and negative automatic thoughts.

My path to becoming a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist has been shaped by a lifelong fascination with human behaviour and a deep commitment to helping others thrive. After reading Psychology at university, I became particularly interested in how individuals learn and process the world differently. This led me into a fulfilling career in education, where I’ve taught Psychology, Law, and Science at KS3/4 and A Level, and for over a decade, have focused on supporting the academic and emotional development of children in primary settings, primarily KS2.

As my experience grew, so did my desire to support well-being in a more holistic and therapeutic way. This motivated me to train further in counselling. Through this journey, I discovered Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy—an approach that resonated deeply with me for its practical, solution-focused techniques. After experiencing its powerful impact in my own life, I knew I wanted to share it with others.

Today, I integrate my background in education, counselling, and CBH to offer a compassionate, personalised approach that empowers clients to make meaningful, lasting change. Each step of my professional journey has led naturally to this work, equipping me with the insight, tools, and empathy to support others on their path to emotional wellness.
